Many of us by now are familiar with Irv Remedios, the head of product at Voxer. Or rather, its former head of product as of today.
Remedios has been named Voxer’s new president and will assist the push-to-talk provider in focusing on the “go-to-market strategy” of the service from this point on. This is a pivotal moment for the company as it looks to increase its market share beyond the realm of the consumer and into the enterprise communications industry.
“Irv is well-qualified to lead our overall strategy and drive our presence in the enterprise communications space”
“We are excited about the adoption of Voxer and Voxer Business, which we launched last year. The service has improved communications across industries, including hospitality, transportation and marketing, and it is gaining traction with large scale deployments,” said Tom Katis, CEO and founder, Voxer. “Having led product strategy for Voxer over the last year with a focus on integrating customer needs into our product offerings, Irv is well-qualified to lead our overall strategy and drive our presence in the enterprise communications space.”
“I have seen Voxer grow as both a consumer and business services company since I joined over a year ago. The technology has evolved as a premier, high-quality communications product for enterprises and end users alike, “said Irv Remedios, president, Voxer. “I look forward to leading the company in this exciting phase, as we continue our rapid growth in multiple markets, and build on features that increase the productivity of our customers and provide them with significant cost savings.”
Prior to joining Voxer, Remedios served as vice president, product at Mr. Number, a mobile service now owned by WhitePages that enables organizations to block unwanted calls and texts and look up unknown numbers. He was also vice president, product and founding team member at HelloWorld-owned mobile marketing platform Mozes, Inc.

His storied history in tech doesn’t stop there. Remedios, while at Adobe Systems, launched the first successful online community for designers, called Kuler, which became a model for the company’s online services.
Remedios holds a Master in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Waterloo.
We spoke with Irv Remedios back in March about the arrival of Voxer’s award winning Business application on the Windows Phone platform. It’ll be great to see how Voxer performs now that he’s been given a much bigger role.
