WhatsApp, WhatsApp on iOS7, WhatsApp Messenger

Way back in September, WhatsApp for iOS 7 images were leaked out on Twitter, with a new icon, new layout, and new features, among other changes. Since then, we haven’t heard anything new regarding the update, but word on the street is that the long-awaited WhatsApp update for iOS 7 could reportedly be released this week.

According to the same developer who leaked the aforementioned images and these reports, WhatsApp 2.11.5.2187 has supposedly exited beta testing and has been submitted to Apple for final approval and inclusion into the App Store.

Some new features could include:

  • Completely new design, in line with the flat design of iOS 7
  • Enhanced security options
  • Newly designed icon (shown above)
  • Ability to swipe through left and right
  • Larger thumbnails for sent images
  • New photo editing options

We’ve contacted sources at WhatsApp to see if we can confirm this report and will update this story as needed.
