WhatsApp, WhatsApp on iOS7, WhatsApp Messenger

We’ve seen a number of apps making their icons a little more iOS 7 friendly, and we’ve also received information about others who are looking to release their new icons soon. But what about WhatsApp Messenger?

It looks like it’s possible that WhatsApp, too, is looking to do a redesign, as possible images of a redesigned WhatsApp for iOS 7 have appeared on Twitter and could be a sign of things to come. Please take these images with a grain of salt, however, as WhatsApp has not yet announced anything official. That being said, let’s get to the images.

As you can see from the images below, the version of WhatsApp running shows version 2.11.6. Shared images appear bigger in the redesigned app.

According to initial reports, 0xiln, the user who has circulated these images, says he’s in the beta channel for WhatsApp, a channel that remains closed to new users and has been since 2011. 0xiln revealed that WhatsApp for iOS 7 includes a new design, security features, controls, images, and more, along with a new image editing tool.

We’ve reached out to WhatsApp to see if we can confirm the validity of these images. For now, feast your eyes on the images below.
