Some of you have asked us to do a side by side comparison between the different app versions. We have already reviewed the Tru App for Android and for BlackBerry. We will review the iPhone, iPad, Desktop, and iPod versions in upcoming articles. Until then, we thought it would help to point out some of the version differences for each operating system.
Depending on what device and OS you are using, the Tru VoIP App can have subtle or even major differences. Its purpose is the same for all, of course, but some versions, such as the iPhone and Android versions, have extra features in tow.
Tru has posted a very handy graph on their website that shows these differences in detail. We have posted this graph below:
In addition to this graph, Tru has also listed specifications for Nokia phones as well, since each Nokia model is very different from its counterparts. You can find this information in Tru’s Tru App for Nokia features checker.
This information can be very helpful when trying to decide which phone or OS you wish to use, especially if you’re going to use it when you travel. Keep in mind that the App will soon have an update, and so these listed features may be added upon or may change. The App is also rumored to be in development for the upcoming Windows Phone 8 OS.
Tru App remains one of the best ways to turn your Tablet or computer into a VoIP phone, and the future of the App looks better than ever thanks to the folks at Tru Labs. We’ll be bringing you further updates on the Tru App changes as they develop.
