Samsung Android Phone, Galaxy Smartphone, Galaxy Grand Device

Samsung’s new Galaxy Grand — a mid-range five-inch Android smartphone — was revealed by Samsung earlier today. Powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, the Galaxy Grand runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, and comes with built-in features such as S Voice and Direct Call, which allows users to place calls by raising the handset to their ears.

The phone also features a two-megapixel front-facing camera that supports 720p video calling and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera. The Galaxy Grand, measuring about 9.6mm thick, ships with 8GB of internal memory with a microSD slot that expands to 64GB. The five-inch WVGA display has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

According to Samsung Tomorrow, Samsung will release the smartphone in two versions: a dual-SIM GT-I9082 and the single-SIM GT-I9080 — either one a welcome addition to international GSM users. Samsung has yet to announce a price or release date for either version, but rest assured, we’ll keep you updated as soon as more information is available.
