HTC One X, HTC One S, HTCOne

If you’re using an HTC budget smartphone with your SIM or App service and you were hoping that HTC would be releasing a new phone for you to upgrade to, it looks like you’ll have to look elsewhere.

HTC CEO Peter Chou has told the Wall Street Journal that his company will not cater to the low-end market anymore, as the company looks to boost its brand image.

“We don’t want to destroy our brand image…We insist on using better materials to make better products that offer premium experience. Many consumers like that.”

We can assume the HTC One S and One X may not necessarily represent HTC’s full future. But, with the Titan II and other smartphones on the horizon, there will still be plenty of HTC goodness for VoIP and messaging app and global SIM card users to choose from.
