The BlackBerry 10 news keeps on rolling in. Tru app users in particular have seen the future of VoIP on BlackBerry devices using the developer handsets and screenshots of the software. Now you get to see the home screen itself, something that has eluded the tech world from the beginning.
Research in Motion is providing a sneak peek of the home screen as well as the full launcher. While you might mistake the home screen as being populated with widgets a la Windows Phone or Android, these are actually open applications that will change based on your activities.
As we know, much of the interface will be gesture-driven, and as such, a quick swipe to the right will bring the full launcher to the forefront; a swipe to the left will reveal the unified inbox. The result is nothing revolutionary, and may seem somewhat similar to users of Ubuntu Unity, but the BlackBerry 10 designers certainly deserve credit for the clean and functional interface.
We can hardly wait to see what’s next!
