Skype calling, Skype instant messaging, Voice Over IP

Now that we finally have our Skype conversations syncing across all of our devices, it’s just a matter of fixing some of the remaining bugs and issues that plague each version.

To that end, Skype has announced the release of Skype for Mac 6.14 which brings some UI changes and improvements to Mac OS X Mavericks.

For starters, users in Do Not Disturb mode will now see a warning in the Notifications preference pane to remind them of why notifications aren’t being delivered, which should help alleviate some of the confusion for new users who may not be aware that Notifications have been turned off.

Text enhancements have also been implemented and Skype has fixed a number of reported bugs, including sound output from Skype to Bluetooth headphones and speakers caused by a change in the way that OS X reported available devices, and mach port leak on Mavericks.
