A year ago, LINE’s gaming platform brought a fresh take to the world of messaging app-based gaming. Since then, hundreds of hours have been spend playing the platform’s coveted 39 titles with 220 million downloads combined as of the end of October.
In celebration of LINE Game’s anniversary, the company has decided to hold a special event today, November 18 that involves pushing the number of worldwide game plays “across all LINE games” to 100 million between 10am and 10pm GMT+9. Game plays are counted when the “Play” button is tapped. If this goal is reached, players will receive a special sticker set that’s not available anywhere else, which will be distributed to players “the following day or later.” LINE will be tracking the number of plays in real-time.
It’s important to note that LINE PLAY and LINE PLAY games have been excluded from this celebration. Be sure to have LINE POP downloaded as well, and access the Sticker Shop in the LINE app between 11 am on Tuesday, November 19 and Thursday, November 21 to access the sticker download.
