Android and Samsung fans everywhere were excited to learn that Samsung would unveil their Galaxy S3 phone on May 3. However, new information from Crave UK suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S III will actually be only a minor update from the Galaxy S II released last year, with a speed boost and eye tracking among the upgrades. And, to the dismay of many, it probably won’t be called the Galaxy S III.
Rather than go for a complete overhaul, Samsung has apparently opted for an incremental update to the Galaxy S III, much “like the iPhone 4S was to the 4.”
There was no confirmed information on specs, and as such we have posted this article in the rumor bin, but it was noted by sources with CNET that “we should look to the HTC One X for what to expect.”
We have posted the specs of the HTC One X on TruTower before. I know many Tru fans were hoping for something with more power and “bigger.” The Galaxy S3 may or may not be what you are looking for.
