About two weeks ago, Zello for iOS devices received and update that pushed the popular push to talk application to new heights, and now the app has received a similar update for Android — the first since July 3 — that adds a whole new set of features and improvements.
One of the most notable feature adds is the ability to auto play channel audio profiles whenever you connect to a channel — one of Zello‘s staple features that allows its users to connect with up to 299 others — for the first time.
Version 2.24 also displays who and when a user is blocked in your personal block list. Not the most exciting entry, but useful just the same. A new Share a channel feature has also been introduced to allow you to share your favorite channels via other social networks. Speaking of social networks, the new Zello also features “updated” Twitter and Facebook integration.
Finally, an assortment of various bug fixes and improvements have also been rolled out, including improvements to the app’s UI and the following fixes:
- Call alerts text is truncated in history on some devices
- History keeps playing during phone calls
- Headset button doesn’t work when app is in the background
The new Zello push to talk application is now available for download via Google Play.
