Earlier this month, WhatsApp launched voice messaging on all major mobile operating systems, including Windows Phone, Android, and of course iOS. The company has been working tirelessly to perfect the new feature as can be seen by a recent update for Samsung Android phones and a pair of updates for Windows Phone.
Now it’s time for Apple devices to get their share of the video messaging update pie, but this new update brings more to the table than just simply “improvements in voice messaging,” although they are indeed a part of it — specifically in Accessibility.
The most notable addition is a new video picker, which means the ability to send longer videos is back. The update also includes “other VoiceOver fixes and improvements” that are not specified in the app changelog. Many other bug fixes and peformance improvements also join the aforementioned.
All in all, users should find version 2.11.3 a much better version than its predecessor. Be sure to download the latest version from Apple’s iTunes App Store; let us know in the comments if you experience issues with the new release.
