If you’re a big fan of cats, then you’ll love what LINE Game has just released on both Android and iOS versions of its messaging app.
Itt’s called LINE Pong Pong Pong, or just Pong Pong Pong if you prefer, and despite the presence of cats within the game, it’s actually not a digital pet raising game per se, though the elements are certainly there.
LINE Pong Pong Pong includes six mini-games within that last one minute each and are controlled with simple taps. These six games include Rhythm Pong, Spring Pong, Memory Pong, Word Pong, Shooting Pong, and Slash Pong (all shown in the list above left).
Players can choose from eight types of cats, each of whom has a special ability, to play the mini-games with. One cat can give you extra points from the get-go while another can give you a second chance when a mistake is made. After players have chosen their cat, it will need to be played with, fed, and will also need some sleep in order to fill the life meter that will provide bonus points for 30 minutes in the mini-games once full.
Some social capabilities are also built in. You’ll be able to log in with your LINE account to compare scores with your friends and send stamps — which are sort of like an in-game currency — to each other. Multiplayer capabilities are also built in for up to two players.
The LINE Pong Pong Pong game launch follows a major update for iOS that added a new theme and features as well as LINE’s goal of reaching 300 million users this year.
LINE will be adding more mini games and cat characters in future updates. If this sounds like your type of game, you can pick it up in Google Play or iTunes. Just make sure you have the most recent version of LINE downloaded so you don’t run into any problems.
