Roam’s plans are available as Talk+Text, Talk+Text+Data or Data-only and can be purchased in 1, 3, 7, 14 and 30 day bundles. All plans include unlimited talk and text, voicemail and caller ID. International calls back to Canada are free of charge. Data speeds can reach up to 21Mbps and hotspot tethering is allowed.
The service is designed specifically for the Canadian traveler. Customers can activate their SIM cards in Canada, schedule a plan to start at a future date and time, and reschedule activation dates before they travel to the USA. SIM cards don’t expire for 365 days and customers can keep their US phone number.
Roam Mobility relaunched its popular SIM Swap program on July 27, 2013, allowing users to bring their SIM cards from select carriers and swap it for a free Roam Mobility SIM. The company extended this promotion to accept all worldwide carrier SIM cards by November 1, 2013.
The company dropped its roaming rates in October 2013 even as rates overall all around the world continue to rise as a result of the EU roaming price drop on July 1, 2013.
