Within the first two months, Vonage Mobile had accumulated 1 million monthly downloads. In May, Vonage launched picture messaging, Bluetooth capability, and address book contact sync, as well as location sharing via messaging. Vonage added mobile video calling in April 2013.
Like global roaming services, Vonage Mobile also helps users traveling the globe save money by way of its ReachMe Roaming feature, which launched in April 2014.
When calling non-Vonage Mobile users, those who do use the application can take advantage of low-cost calling to phone numbers in more than 200 countries with rates the company claims are “70-80 percent less than major mobile carriers and, on average, 30 percent less than Skype”. Vonage Mobile offers cost-saving calling credit packages for its users as well.
