Skype for iOS, Skype for Apple Watch, wearable and smartphones

Skype is far and away one of the most popular calling and messaging apps on the face of the planet and it’s freely accessible on virtually every operating and screen you can find.

Today, the iOS app’s latest update — get it here — now shows you a preview of web links when you send or receive a web link in your conversations. This means that any videos or information that is shared with you can be seen before you open the link, making it a little easier (not to mention secure) to see what you’re getting.

For the Apple Watch, there are now new ways to manage your conversations from your wrist; you can reply to chats, start new conversations, and even accept or deny incoming VoIP calls.

For those of you who don’t have an Apple Watch yet, you’ll be able to take advantage of these new features as soon as you pick one up. For iPhones, the new Skype update requires iOS 7 or later in order to function.
