Snapchat, Snapchat logo, Snapchat messenger

If you’re using Snapchat, particularly the Discover section of the app, you’ve probably noticed a few differences that were recently rolled out to the feature, marking the Discovery feature’s first major update since it launched on Snapchat in late January.

You can now select a Discovery item — if the publisher allows it — by tapping and holding on an image, text, video or article, and then add additional text or draw on images as you would any other Snapchat message, and then send. Recipients will receive a link to the original version.

Additional changes include the ability to zoom while recording videos (swipe right to zoom in and swipe left to zoom out while recording).

Snapchat has been working to increase the app’s engagement that’s currently overshadowed by WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram according to recent information shared by Mobidia.

Ready to give it a try for yourself? Be sure to download the latest Snapchat version on iOS and Android.
