Bolt messaging app, social media software, smartphones and computers

After failing to get Instagarm to rename its app that was launched last year (you can find out more information about that app on the Bolt by Instagram page), it seems as though the Bolt founders have thrown in the towel and have renamed Bolt to Charge.

An email received by TruTower confirmed the change and coincided with the listing of the new Charge messaging application on the Google Play Store as well as the iTunes App Store.

The only description of the app can be found with the lone sentence of “Fast free cross-platform messaging” with only a couple of screenshots accompanying the application:

Bolt, Charge messaging app, Social apps

Once you sign in, import your contacts and search for someone you chat with regularly. You can send a message to any contact with a phone number, send pictures and create groups as well.

As for features, the app has a clean and smooth design, keeping it simple with a focus on a fast messaging experience rather than trying to pile on way too many features as many other messaging apps have done.

You can try the new Charge messaging app for free by visiting Google Play or iTunes.
