Viber for Windows Phone, mobile VoIP, messaging apps

Viber is one of our favorite apps and has been covered on TruTower for a very long time, much longer than the app has even been on Windows Phone. The Windows Phone 8 version with voice launched in April of 2013 and has gradually gained features and improvements since then, albeit often at a slower rate than the iOS and Android versions.

Today marks the release of Viber version 4.3, which brings a new and improved design as well as improvements to how the photos are displayed in chats. Of course, you can look forward to plenty of performance improvements in the new update as well.

Version 4.3 was released for Windows desktop and OSX back in September.

Viber was acquired by Japanese e-commerce giant Rakuten earlier this year, as more and more messaging and calling apps enter the field and merge with larger companies. Viber recently passed 209 million active users.

If you haven’t already done so, you can download Viber version 4.3 for Windows Phone using this QR code. Be sure to post your thoughts on the update and what you’d like to see next in the comments below.
