A little over a month ago, Skype Qik was launched on Android, Windows Phone, and iPhone, but there hasn’t been a peep about it since.
Skype Qik is separate from the main Skype app. It’s a video messenger made for capturing moments and sharing laughs throughout your day. Set up a group and you can immediately start shooting and swapping videos with your friends.
Today, the Windows Phone and Android versions of the app were updated to include a new feature called Qik Flik, which allows you to quickly reply to friends’ messages with videos that you’ve already pre-recorded, giving you the ability to reply to video messages a lot faster. You can do this by recording a few five-second Qik Flik videos and then send them in chats at any time.
While this feature hasn’t dropped in iOS yet (at least not so far), it’s likely going to drop at some point in the near future.
You can download the Android version via Google Play and the Windows Phone version via the Windows Phone Store.
Thanks Rodney for the tip!
