Earlier this year, we reported that TravelSim wanted 5 million users on its global roaming network before the end of the year. Not only did TravelSim reach this goal two months ahead of schedule, but it also reached another goal, saving world travelers over $280 million in roaming charges.

This compares with a user base of 3.6 million and generating collective savings of just over $200 million by the end of last year.

TravelSim saved users over $280 million in roaming charges in 2014

Much of this growth is due to TravelSim distributors in key markets such as Africa, North and South America, Europe and South East Asia, but also has to do with TravelSim’s appearance at a number of key events over the course of the year. They’ll be attending another one — the World Travel Market Event in London at the ExCel Exhibition Center (both #TT 429) — on November 3-6 2014.

This rapid user growth makes TravelSim the world’s leading travel SIM card, putting it ahead of a growing market of competitors.

TravelSim operates as an MVNO in over 140 countries. The company most recently slashed Latin American roaming rates for travelers in the region.

Top Connect will announce its 2015 targets before year end and we’ll post them right here on TruTower. Stay tuned by following us on social networks and downloading our mobile apps.
