Tencent’s star child WeChat has launched its latest Friends n Rewards campaign in India that users can take advantage of simply by making a video call, sending a voice message or sharing a sticker.
According to WeChat’s official blog, WeChat India users “have an opportunity to earn up to Rs. 150 of free call time,” or almost double the reward that WeChat India offered in the previous August promotion, which gave users up to Rs. 60 for sending stickers to friends.
“we understand the value in connecting with the people you care about”
At the beginning of September, WeChat users in India received a deposit of Rs. 150 in their account, and starting September 1 and extending to September 10, users could begin activating the reward by simply making video or voice calls with friends on WeChat. Now, though, until September 20, users simply send stickers in a group chat daily, after which point the offer will be “unlocked”.
“Here at WeChat, we understand the value in connecting with the people you care about,” the company posted about the campaign. “So have fun using WeChat’s innovative features and enjoy free call time on us!”
WeChat users in India can find out more inforamtion by visiting the WeChat Team Official Account on WeChat.
WeChat has issued a slight change to the wording: “Rs. 150 of free recharge” instead of “Rs. 150 free call time”
