Tango Channels, free smartphone calls, android social apps

Tango, a messaging app turned entertainment platform, has just announced an expansion to its Channels platform with new music and entertainment channels.

Tango Channels, Tango app, Newest Tango features

These new channels include AOL On, Funny Or Die, Hulu, Rhapsody, SoundCloud, and Vevo now have live Channels on Tango’s messaging app, with additional Channels from BuzzFeed and Vimeo coming soon. These new channels join the more than 30 channels that already make up the app’s offerings (and we hope to launch our own Channel soon).

“We’re going big on music and entertainment, and excited about the popular brands we’ve been able to add into Channels,” said Uri Raz, founder and CEO of Tango. “With the addition of these music and entertainment brands we are able to give our members even more ways to communicate, discover and share.”

“We’re going big on music and entertainment”

Tango Channels were originally launched in June and allow users to see content from their favorite publishers and brands from within the Tango app’s News Feed. From there, friends can share the content with friends or repost the content to their own News Feed.

In order to get Tango Channels, you have to have Tango downloaded on a compatible device, which as of this writing includes most iOS and Android devices.
