LINE app, messaging, messages social

We all know that LINE is a great messaging app, but did you also know that its owner and operator, LINE Corporation, is also a great place to share your experiences and make predictions?

LINE users are getting a really good idea with the announced partnership between LINE Corporation and the 4th Annual Critics’ Choice Television Awards, which will be broadcast live on the CW network on June 19, 2014. The partnership is not only allowing LINE users to participate in the prediction process, but it also giving users a chance to win tickets to next year’s awards show for doing so.

“LINE enriches the award show experience for fans, critics, industry, and talent”

Simply download LINE on your iOS, Android or Windows device and then add the Critics’ Choice Awards Official Account to take part in the polling. Upon completion of the prediction survey, “Liners” earn a chance to win tickets to next year’s awards show and can view which nominees are in the lead.

“We are excited to leverage LINE’s polling system for the prestigious Critics’ Choice Television Awards,” says Jeanie Han, CEO of LINE USA. “LINE enriches the award show experience for fans, critics, industry, and talent by engaging audiences in a completely new, exciting and interactive way. It’s very forward thinking of the Critics’ Choice Awards to work in tandem with a platform that connects over 450 million people around the world.”

The interaction doesn’t end at the polling, though. Liners can also virtually join the Red Carpet show by sending in real-time commentary during the On-Air mode in the Official Account, marking the first time fans will be able to interact with their favorite TV stars through the exclusive LINE Red Carpet Fashion Coverage.

“For the first time ever, our audience can actually see their comments and fashion reviews on-air in real time”

“We love LINE and are excited for fans to become more deeply involved with the Critics Choice Television Awards,” says Entertainment Reporter Sam Rubin, the host and producer of Live From The Critics Choice Television Awards Red Carpet pre-show. “For the first time ever, our audience can actually see their comments and fashion reviews on-air in real time. And LINE’s enormous selection of stickers and emoji’s make these conversations even more colorful and fun. Thanks to LINE we are establishing a ‘second screen experience,’ bringing smartphones and broadcast television together in an innovative, engaging and entertaining way.”

LINE is also hosting an Emoji Art Contest where fans can create their own emoji art based on their favorite TV show with the largest and most diverse emoji collection that LINE offers. Contest and event details can be found on LINE’s blog.
