Truphone’s SIM is one of many companions you’d want to take with you when you’re ready to go out and see the world. After extending Truphone Zone benefits to 66 countries, the global carrier is now “reducing and simplifying” its rates for prepaid customers, according to an email sent out today.
To start, Truphone calls, data, and text will be 9c per min, MB, or message, respectively, as long as you’re in a Truphone Country (UK, US, Australia, Hong Kong, Netherlands, Germany, Poland and Spain). Of course, it’s free to receive calls within the Truphone Countries, and the carrier will also no longer charge connection fees “anywhere.”

Other rates have been reduced (and some increased) across the board. You can find the new international long distance rates and roaming rates via the PDF documents at the bottom of this article.
Truphone is also quick to point out that, while they hope customers enjoy these new rates, they can be reached at 707 from your Truphone SIM or +1 646 360 1689 if you feel “one of the increases affects you negatively.” If you don’t yet have a Truphone SIM, you can obtain one via Truphone’s website.
