If you’re utilizing ChatON via your Windows Phone device to keep in touch with family and friends, you’ll be happy to know that a new update has been issued that adds a few notable features and fixes to help keep your conversations on the right track.
Version 2.27 for Windows Phone 8 devices includes the following changes:
- You can receive ‘Recent story’ notifications about your friends. (When a friend joins ChatON or when someone adds you as a ChatON buddy, you will immediately receive a notification.)
- The ChatON Team will let you know about new ChatON features and special events.
- ChatON now supports Spanish.
- Hyperlinks are now supported in ChatON.
There doesn’t appear to be any bug fixes or performance improvements this time, but it’s possible that they’re simply not included in the new version’s changelog.
If you haven’t already received the update, you can scan this QR code to get it now. If you’re using Windows Phone 8.1 and you have your phone set to automatically update your apps, you should be all set. If not, you can use the “check for updates” button under Settings in the Windows Phone Store.
