WeChat can now be downloaded on the new Nokia X, Nokia X+ and Nokia XL devices powered by Nokia’s “fixed” version of the Android OS, joining Viber — announced during Mobile World Congress — as well as Skype.
Nokia has committed to connecting “the next billion” smartphone users to the Internet by releasing its first devices running Android™ apps, Microsoft services and signature Nokia experiences.

The app will include all of the features that make WeChat great, including “People Nearby,” “Shake” and “Drift Bottle,” and free animated stickers.

Tencent believes the partnership with Nokia will offer an “enhanced user experience” with the company’s “innovative features paired with the outstanding functionality of Nokia phones.”
