It turns out the sales hub established in Houston this past December was just the beginning of Truphone‘s expansion in the United States. The company has also announced the establishment of a new sales office in San Francisco.

Truphone hopes to service the entire West Coast area, which includes high-tech, global commerce, and financial firms, specifically those who travel globally. Establishing a foothold in this location puts Truphone near a number of gateways to international “Truphone Zone” locations such as Australia and Hong Kong. Of course it’s a stone’s throw away from other Truphone Zone countries that include the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, and Spain, as well as the U.S.

The Sales Office in San Francisco puts Truphone near popular international travel gateways

“The Bay Area is internationally renowned for its cutting-edge businesses and diverse culture,” said Tim Raby, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Truphone Americas. “Truphone will use its unique wireless network to make it easier for these companies to communicate globally.”

The San Francisco office will be led by Regional Director Doug Graybeal, a veteran sales executive who has held high-level regional sales positions in telecommunications with ClearWire, CenturyLink and T-Mobile. At those companies, he was responsible for leading sales teams and account management for customers in the western U.S.
