LINE for WP8, LINE on Windows Phone, LINE app

Users of LINE for Windows Phone should have received an update this morning that pushes the app to version 3.0.

Among the new additions to this version is calling support, which we confirmed was coming to the platform months ago. It was a long time waiting, but it’s finally arrived (and is a welcome addition!).

LINE Calling is not available to Windows Phone 7.x Users

As expected, the calling feature is available for Windows Phone 8 devices only, leaving Windows Phone 7.5 and Windows Phone 7.8 users with just messaging.

The update also rolls out some new stickers — four types to be exact — that will let you add a little more fun to all of your messages. These stickers consist of Brown, Moon, Cony and James.

If you haven’t already received it (or you have not yet tried LINE for yourself on the Windows Phone platform), you can get the latest update here. You can also add our official LINE account (username: TruTower) if you’d like to ask questions and get help using LINE or just say “hi!”
