Skype for Windows 8, Windows RT VoIP, Skype for PC

Not too long ago, Skype said a final “good-bye” to Windows Phone 7 as the team refocused its efforts solely on Windows Phone 8. Today, we’re already seeing the first update since that revelation.

Skype for Windows Phone 8‘s latest update (version 2.11.0.236) is a very minor one that doesn’t add a whole lot, but what it does add is certainly welcome. You can now tap on and hold unwanted chats to remove them from your recent conversations list, keeping your chat list clean of everything but what you want to keep.

Otherwise, nothing new has been added and nothing has changed from the previous edition, though the update does also tack on a few “general fixes and improvements.” Unfortunately, these aren’t broken down in the changelog specifically, so we’re left assuming they were extremely minor, so certainly let us know in the comments below if you notice any difference in speed or performance.

For now, you can get the latest update right here.
