Vox for iOS, Vox Mobile VoIP, Mobile voip app

It seems like forever since Vox Mobile VoIP was first submitted to Apple for approval and inclusion into iTunes. The calling application was subsequently declined for unknown reasons the first time, prompting a second attempt at the end of July.

Vox Communications’ persistence finally paid off, as the mobile VoIP app is now available for download in the iTunes App Store. The app is compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch devices running iOS 5.1 or later.

Vox’s mobile offering sets itself apart from the growing competition through its locally tailored plans that include calling to mobile phones in Mexico, India, Vietnam, and the United Kingdom. The company also offers a Pay As You Go plan that can be topped up with as little as a dollar and can be used to make calls anywhere in the world. Vox also offered 60 minutes of calling time to new customers to call anywhere in the world for free.

Get the new Vox app for iOS here. Here’s hoping we’ll see a version pop up on the Windows Phone store next!
