European roaming charges have dropped for a number of international carriers in early July. Naturally, we saw pricing drops from DOODAD among others, and Mobal has decided to take things a step further and offer users in the United States even lower rates as well.
Like most SIM card services for travelers, Mobal’s Europe data SIM allows users to send and receive emails, post on social media platforms, and other data-oriented tasks. Mobal will now cost of $0.39/MB for Americans traveling in European territory, taking a load off of any phone bill (don’t get caught with something like this!).
The new Europe Data SIM can be used in any GSM-based device spanning Android, iPhone, Windows Phone, and more.
As is usually the case with international roaming services, there are no monthly fees, no minimum usage, no contract and the user is only charged for data as they use it. Mobal will start all users off with a free 10MB.
Mobal works in over 30 countries: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Northern Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, and Wales.
The SIM card itself with set you back about $9. If you happen to live in Alaska or Hawaii, you’ll have to add $30 to that price for shipping costs, well worth it if it means avoiding that dreaded “bill shock” that we know all to well around here.
