Earlier this month, we were given the opportunity to try real HD calls and location sharing, among other features rolled out in Truphone version 5.2. The latest version adds a 1 at the end of that version number and makes with the bug fixes.
There were reportedly a bunch of bug fixes that were in the update, too, so users should notice a significant improvement when making or receiving calls via the app. We noticed that the app seems to “force close” a lot less frequently, though we can’t be sure if that’s less of an app issue and more of a device issue or if it did indeed have everything to do with the app. We’ll continue to perform more tests and update this article when we have a more definitive answer.
The bug fixes weren’t all spelled out in the changelog, but there was one notable fix that should keep Android 2.2 Froyo users happy: that pesky bug that prevented you from being able to log in has been fixed.
