Rebtel logo, Rebtel app, Rebtel VoIP and Instant Messaging

The world’s largest mobile VoIP provider recently updated its iOS app to include a great many new features, all of which are scheduled for release sometime later this summer. For now, the incremental updates continue for 2.9.x versions of Rebtel on the open source OS.

The latest release, 2.9.1, fixed a bug “related to changing rotation from landscape to portrait mode.” Some users reported problems with the app when turning their phones from horizontal view back to its default vertical state. According to the app changelog, this problem should now be fixed. If you still experience this issue or any additional issues with the application, please share with us in the comments.

Otherwise, the new version includes all of the features and changes from version 2.7.0, 2.8.0, and 2.9.0. If you’re ready to beat that rotation bug completely out of your calling and messaging sessions, you can now download the latest version of Rebtel from the Google Play store.
