Rebtel Version 3.4, New Rebtel VoIP, Wi-Fi Calling app

Rebtel has just unveiled the latest version of its calling app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices, complete with a brand new design that’s focused on helping users “stay even more closely connected to those who matter the most.”

Now 23 million users strong, the new update (version 3.0) includes all the features of previous versions, including free Rebtel to Rebtel calling, and also brings a variety of new features:

  • Slick new navigation bar
  • Option to set call reminders
  • Easier way to check your account balance
  • Smooth switching between data and local minutes for Rebtel calls

“Some people have hundreds of numbers in their phone but typically people only call four to five people on a regular basis,” Pelle Lindhe, head of apps, said. Our mission is to make it as easy as possible for you to maintain a close relationship with that small group of people.”

“To reflect our mission of connecting people with their loved ones, the design is personal, playful and highlights the contacts closest to you. We created a powerful way of connecting and placing calls, mixed with a beautiful UI that makes managing contacts easier and fun. We have many interesting features like this in the pipeline the coming months,” Lindhe said.

The new Rebtel for iOS is now live and is planned for release on Android in a full version after summer. For now, users can download a more slimmed-down version.
