The last time we caught up with the LINE app for Android, its most recent update had added a couple of new languages to the mix.
Well, now there are three more thanks to the just-released version 3.7.0: German, Italian, and European Portuguese. This should definitely increase the app’s ever growing appeal; LINE had 150 million users as of May 2, and has since already surpassed 160 million, spread out over 230 countries.
In addition to the new languages, the new update adds themes featuring the cute LINE characters (you can see many of them here) and a Home function for Official Accounts.
New functionality also finds its way into the new update: Alerts have been enabled in the Chats list for messages that fail to send, so no more hoping and guessing that your friend or family member got your message. A Photos button has been added to the Chat room menu that allows you to view all photos sent and recieved in that particular chat room. Finally, a new function to display LINE account QR codes on profile pages has also been added.
