Nimbuzz Call and Messaging, NimbuzzOut, Nimbuzz Messenger

It’s no secret that Nimbuzz has been making great strides with its messaging app, particularly in Asia. However, the company reportedly wants to look a little further beyond its mobile application and is making preparations to offer net telephony service in India alongside its app.

The report comes from The Hindu Business Line (via BGR India) says that Nimbuzz is trying to acquire a unified license which will allow it to offer voice telephony as well as internet services beyond its current internet service-only license. Nimbuzz is, of course, allowed to offer voice services outside the country, but not within.

It’s not yet known if Nimbuzz will be able to obtain such a license, of course, but should this attempt pan out for the company, it would strengthen the company’s bottom line in its home country while still allowing it to continue its expansions worldwide through its VoIP and messaging app. So if you happen to live in India, you could be using Nimbuzz telephony services in the near future.
