More news regarding Viber for Windows Phone 8 hit Twitter today as Viber CEO Talmon Marco confirmed a couple of interesting tidbits that continues to shed a little light on the upcoming Viber app, which recently hit the “final stage” of its development cycle for the OS and was all but confirmed by the CEO for a “March or April” release.
Now we’ve been able to confirm via Twitter that the new version of the popular calling and instant messaging application will include the group chats feature from the start, so you’ll be able to chat seamlessly with other Viber users en masse whether they’re on the same platform or on a different one than the one you’re using.
Unfortunately, stickers are not going to be a part of the initial release, but the good news here is that they are indeed planned for the “next version.”
The Viber voice feature for Windows Phone 8 has been a long-anticipated addition to the platform, and chances are we’ll be able to experience the high quality Viber calls on WP8 within the coming weeks. Stay tuned to our Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus, and we’ll keep everyone abreast of the latest developments.
