Fring for Android, Android VoIP App, Free Android Calling Application

Fring has just rolled out a minor update to its messaging application that addresses some minor issues that have been plaguing a small number of Android users. The update carries the version number 4.2.0.17.

Specifically, the update targets bugs found in the app’s user interface, video, and Bluetooth features. As such, a smoother UI, improved video support, and a more stable Bluetooth experience are what users can expect from the new release.

The update also includes “performance enhancements” according to the changelog. Generally speaking, force closing and freezing should now be reduced to a minimum and the application should also run more smoothly, especially on newer devices running Android Gingerbread or higher (the app requires at least Android 2.2 Froyo to function).

The new version of the Fring app can now be downloaded via the Google Play store if you haven’t already downloaded it. As always, if you experience any problems with the new version after the update, make sure you try restarting your device or a clean uninstall and reinstall of the app if the restart fails.
