BlackBerry 9300 (3G), RIM BB9300, BB OS

Nimbuzz instant messenger for BlackBerry has gotten a new update. From what we’ve seen, the update appears to be a minor update, but does bring some much welcome features and fixes to the VoIP and messaging client.

The latest Nimbuzz Messenger update rolls out the always-useful push notifications feature to BlackBerry OS users, allowing you to be instantly notified of any new messages received even when the service is running in the background and is not currently active on the screen. This new feature addition is sure to help lower battery power consumption and brings Nimbuzz up to par with versions available for other operating systems.

In addition, according to Nimbuzz, file sharing has been improved and accelerated which will undoubtedly make file sharing a much better experience for Nimbuzz users on the BlackBerry platform. Facebook integration is also “much smoother” as well.

The update is now available in BlackBerry App World.
