Galaxy S II Plus, Samsung Galaxy Android Smartphone, Galaxy S2

Samsung has just unveiled the Galaxy S II Plus, an update to its legacy Galaxy S II with a few notable improvements. The new Galaxy sports a 4.3-inch WVGA Super AMOLED Plus screen — the same display first used on the original Galaxy S II — a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and 1GB of RAM.

The biggest update worth mentioning, though, is that the new smartphone will run Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, which users can enjoy alongside Samsung’s “nature-inspired user-interface.” The phone also features Direct Call, Smart Stay, Smart Alert, other Samsung-standard features.

The Seoul, South Korea-based company has not yet revealed any pricing or availability details for the Galaxy S II Plus device, but we can imagine there are a number of people out there who wouldn’t mind using their VoIP apps or their international GSM services on this device. As such, we will be watching out for this information and update accordingly. Will you be picking one up?
