Viber logo, Viber app, Viber for Android iPhone

Viber has just pushed out a minor update to its voice over IP application for Android devices. The update does not bring any new features to the table aside from those already seen in the previous version, but does address some bug fixes and makes other minor improvements.

Viber’s user base now numbers over 140 million as of December 2012. In addition to VoIP, the service allows users to send and receive messages, share stickers with one another, engage up to 40 participants into a single group conversation for free, and share locations in messages, among some other features.

The new version carries the numerical moniker of 2.3.1 and is now available for download from the Google Play store.
