If you’re one of those who is anxiously awaiting Research In Motion’s newly revamped iteration of the BlackBerry platform, and you’ve been hoping that the new platform will support expandable memory via SD memory cards, there may be another reason to hope.
The Waterloo-based company recently pushed out an update to its BlackBerry 10 Webworks SDK for developers. The update was apparently aimed at correcting a “sandboxing logic issue” but also packed a little something extra under the hood: new BlackBerry.io API that allows developers to query for the static readonly full path of the SD card folder on BlackBerry 10 devices.
