Tru GSM, Tru SIM, Truphone SIM Network

While this may be a song and dance that many Tru SIM users are familiar with due to promises made in the past, recent strides made by Tru could be plenty indication that this is, indeed, for real. Still, take this information with a grain of salt until we have confirmed it.

A source within Truphone has revealed that Tru is looking to expand in a “couple more countries” within the “next few months,” though no release dates have been listed, and therefore, have not been confirmed.

This appears as more than a simple song and dance to us, however, as all signs so far this year have pointed to Tru’s reassertion of its gloried growth experienced in the past, before things seem to have gone dark in 2010 and 2011. Tru SIM information as of late has not really left this stage aside from unconfirmed rumors, but we expect to have more light to shed on the GSM service soon.

This is also good news for users of Tru SIM who prefer the SIM service over that offered by the VoIP application and were fearful of Tru either completely dismantling or selling off that part of the business, something we have confirmed Tru is not doing. In fact, Tru has stated to us that, thankfully, they remain committed to “both GSM and VoIP” sides of the business.

Let’s hope that commitment includes new countries and features packed snuggly into our Tru SIM Card Packs before the year’s end.
