Samsung Galaxy S III, Truphone

Kim Young-Ha, the president of Samsung Greater China has suggested that the launch of the long-awaited Samsung Galaxy S III, may be moved up by a month, from May to April.

Back on March 5, we posted an article claiming that Samsung had denied a report that the Galaxy S III would launch in April, but now the words of the company’s most senior representative in China indicate that the plan hasn’t yet been finalized, and his words add to our ongoing coverage of the hotly-anticipated Android flagship device.

The president had apparently been speaking to the Beijing press about Samsung’s broader strategy in China, which plans to be more aggressive in an attempt to go after a greater share of the market, and thus, accelerating the release date of the Galaxy S III to April would fit neatly into that plan.

In any case, it’s always great to hear something along the lines of official from a Samsung executive who isn’t just another nameless face in a long line of Samsung rumors and unconfirmed reports. Now we can rest assured that the Samsung device should be launching within the next two months or so, so Tru App and Tru SIM users will not have long to wait. As always, we’ll keep our eyes and ears open for more on the Samsung Galaxy S III.
