If you’re running BBM on your iPhone, you’ll be happy to know that BlackBerry has pushed out a major update that gives you some new ways to add BBM friends via the new “Add contacts” screen.
The newly redesigned “Add Contacts” lets you:
- Add new contacts to BBM by PIN, email, SMS, and barcode
- Review and accept invites from other BBM users
- Find friends using BBM
- Invite address book contacts to download BBM
- Display your barcode and scan barcodes all in one screen
The new update also brings some bug fixes and performance improvements along for the ride, but as is usually the case with these types of changes, they weren’t broken down and don’t specifically say or suggest what exactly was improved or fixed.
The new BlackBerry Messenger update (version 2.3.0.12) can be downloaded via the iTunes App Store. Don’t forget to add our official BBM Channel (PIN: C001D0D66) to your contacts to stay up to date on all things BBM!
